Radiology: Radiology is a very important diagnostic tool to help our doctors with your pet's needs. We have digital imaging technology in order to provide efficient and accurate images for chest, abdominal, and orthopedic evaluations. If your pet becomes ill, digital radiography allows us to obtain the highest quality pictures in the shortest amount of time. This leads to a quicker diagnosis and treatment plan for your pet. Our doctors will be able to review these images with you in the hospital. When needed, we also have the capability of having all radiographic studies sent electronically to a Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist for same-day consultation. Cold Light Laser Therapy: Cold light laser therapy is the use of an intense beam of laser light directed into tissues to reduce pain, increase blood flow, decrease inflammation and promote healing. This allows us to provide therapy to deep tissues around the hips, shoulders, knees and other various parts of the body to make your pet more comfortable. No matter what kind of pet you have, laser therapy can be part or the solution to help ease your pet's pain. Safe and effective, this powerful modality provides increased mobility, increased wound healing, bactericidal activity and post surgery rehabilitation. Boarding: Heritage Animal Hospital offers boarding services for your canine or feline companion. Our highly qualified staff takes the time to feed, nurture, and provide much attention to your animal companions when you can't be there. Your pet is always cared for and enjoys complete comfort in our climate-controlled facility. All dogs receive a minimum of 3 walks each day with one of our trained and trusted staff members. We can provide medication administration and special dietary need are no problem. Any pet may receive a relaxing bath, if requested, before going home. We provide fundamental care for your dog or cat for a healthy and happy boarding experience. Fully Stocked Pharmacy We believe that our clients should leave us with everything they need for their special friend. That's why we maintain a full stocked pharmacy with prescription medications, including heartworm and flea/tick medications from trusted pharmaceutical companies. We also have over the counter nutritional supplements for various needs and conditions. Does your pet require a special or prescription diet? We can accommodate that as well! We stock our hospital with Purina, Royal Canin and Hill's diets to cover your pet's needs. Specialty Referral If the occasion arises that your pet needs further diagnostics or surgery, we can provide that right here in our office. We bring the specialists here! We utilize the mobile services of East Coast Veterinary Imaging for ultrasound and radiology consulting and we use Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists for orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. You and your pet will not have to leave the comfort of your own veterinary office where you are considered family. Wellness Visits: Surgical Service: Dental Cleanings and X-Ray: Regular dental cleanings for your pet are a necessary part of the overall wellness and long term health of that pet. We recommend yearly exams by our veterinarians in order for your pet's teeth to be evaluated. A dental cleaning may be recommended at that time. We believe that dental x-rays are the most important part of that dental cleaning procedure. We are able to get a digital picture of each tooth above and below the gum line so that we are able to identify any problems or pain that may be going on in your pet's mouth. After the x-rays are taken, one of our technicians will call you to go over the results and convey any recommendations made by the doctor. The dental procedure will be finished and your pet will go home the same day with a clean and healthy smile! |
Grooming:
At Heritage Animal Hospital, we think our furry clients deserve to look and feel their best. After a grooming treatment with our amazing groomer, your best friends come home feeling pampered and relaxed. We also offer many add on services such as teeth brushing and nail dremmeling. All cat and dog grooms are done according to owners specifications, so feel free to call at any time and we will be happy to give you an estimate. |
